Oct 20 Weaving Frond
Title: Weaving New Zealand Flax into the Frond Shape
Description: Incorporate Woven material into an arrangement. We wove New Zealand flax into the Frond Shape.
Materials: New Zealand Flax, Chrysanthemum, Lavender, Leucothoe
I am using the block method in this arrangement. I arranged the fronds into a large plate leaving downward on the right side.
Fronds are sort of making a circle, which draws your eye into the center.
Fronds are making a plate like background to emphasize the tulips which are drooping in front of them.
Bottom frond is pointing towards the two other ones. It is also incorporating the vase into the design.
Fronds are making low loops on the bottom left.
Bottom fronds sort of look like a bow holding the arrangement together. While the top frond is providing a nice background to the design.
Fronds make a lower shape which increases the area of the design.
A. Leaves are in the back and all the flowers are together making one big mass of flowers.
B. Moving the greens to be incorporated into the design.
