Basic Floral Home Design Workshop
If you typically buy flowers at your local grocery store and want to learn how to arrange them in a more pleasing way, this is the workshop for you
This one day workshop introduces you to two basic beginning floral design using materials you would get at your local grocery store. These two designs are perfect for the home setting.
Materials You Supply:
- 2 cylinder vases. Vases need to be no taller than 14”. The mouth opening should be between 3 and 4” in diameter. Some fudge factor of a ½” on either side is ok. Example vases can be found here.
- You can also purchase a vase from me at: https://byjenhess.com/product-category/vase/. Let me know which one you want and I will bring it along.
- I recommend you bring your own shears, but if you want to use my class loaners that is fine. I use Wazakura Ikenobo Flower Arrangement Ikebana Scissors (which you can buy on Amazon)
Arrangement 1:
Easier version – 1 Large Bunch of materials from your local grocery store. Most stores sell two different sizes you want the larger one.
Or
Harder Version
- 1 bunch Main Materials (Examples)
- 1 Bunch Subordinate materials (Examples)
- 2 bunch Green materials (Examples)
- For a fuller arrangement add 1 bunch Filler materials (Examples).
Arrangement 2:
- 3 individual bunches of different materials.
