Title: Using Wire as a Design Element
Description: Incorporate wire as a design element. The wire can be used as a decorative accent or have sculptural quality that results in a value that is strong in relation to the value of the arrangement. It can also be used to alter the arrangement in such a way as to make it convey a specific image.
Materials: Monstera leaf, anthurium, lilies, dried buckwheat, dried queen Anne’s lace.
Providing a way to alter the arrangement to convey the image of curly hair draping down.
Providing a sculptural element that provides a strong value in relation to the arrangement.
Strong value
Could be considered to provide either a sculptural or line value.
Providing both an accent and a way of altering the arrangement to provide an different image. In this case, rays of the sun. Due to the wire being thin it is a smaller value.
Providing a strong sculptural value.
Providing an accent to highlight one particular flower.
Provides a line value. In this case the line is providing a direction for the eye to move along.
Provides a strong sculptural value. The value is pretty close to equal to the value of the arrangement.
Provides a line value.
Provides a sculptural element.
