New Zealand Flax – Arum Lily
Arum Lily
1. Prepare the New Zealand Flax Leaf, by running a butter knife along the back edge of the leaf.
2. Divide the leaf into 6 or more parts depending on the size of the leaf or the tightness of the weave you want.
3. Begin weaving. Weaving is a basic thing. You have one section over followed by one section under and just repeat.
Second Row
Continue until you get to the last section.
Now we will take the section sticking up and begin to weave down.
Continue weaving, until you get to the last section on this side.
Repeat the weave and turning the last section.
Wrap the turns around our stem.
Pull one of the turns up through the circle and finish.
