New Zealand Flax- Rose
Step 1. Prepare the leaf. Run a butter knife along the back “dull” side.
3. Split the leaf in half. Not all the way, just from the tip down to where the flax “stem” is. The stem is the part that is very firm and thicker.
4. Begin Folding. Like with the Camellia, this flower only has one fold that is repeated over and over again. In fact it is the exact same fold as the Camellia. The. Main difference is in how the petals relate to the “stem” of our flower.
Instead of folding the petals all in front of the stem, you fold them around the stem. After you do the first two or three folds, it helps to hold the stem like you would a bouquet and wrap around it as you fold.
