Title: Fresh and Unconventional Materials

Goal: Understand how you can extend Sogetsu by incorporating unconventional materials. One of the things I love about sogetsu is that it is in an art form in and of itself. As an art form I get to make unique creations. Using unconventional materials is a great way for me to expand beyond the typical flower arrangement.

Type: freestyle

Materials: 

Container: Any

Botanical Materials: Unfortunately, you are going to have to figure out what materials you want to use. There is really no rule. Size, and materials you are incorporating and whatever strikes your fancy are all going to play a part in your design.

Other Materials: Whatever unconventional material you want to use. Paper, Yarn, Beads, Kitchen Utensils, Wire, Clothes pins, whatever you can dream up.

Examples:

Thornless BlackBerry, Chrysanthemums, and whisks.
